That Belongs in a Museum is a show-and-tell storytelling event with its home base at the Gallery Cabaret on Chicago’s north side. At each event presenters sign up to share and object, tell the audience about it, and suggest a museum (real or fictitious) that the object belongs in. My favorite fictitious museums so far? The Museum of Stolen Objects that Really Belong to the Thief, the Museum of Crappy Restaurant Signs, and the Can’t Afford it so I Made it Museum.

Digital catalogs of all TBM events are online at thatbelongsinamuseum.org

That Belongs in a Museum founders and organizers are Susan Golland, Sarah Crawford, and Serena Washington
